We like a challenge from time to time, and it's always good fun putting together a custom design for one of our lovely clients. One of our recent couples had fallen in love with the idea of a fairy light backdrop for their wedding at the Monks Barn in Hurley, but this was no ordinary fairy light backdrop.

This summer we had another trip to the absolutely gorgeous Longbourn Barn in Warwickshire. This time we installed what we think is one of our prettiest setups yet for this incredible venue.

Here's a lovely wedding lighting canopy that incorporates multiple elements for an incredible effect.

The couple for this wedding at Ufton Court chose our fairy light star canopy (so called because of the star shape it makes if you look it from a bird-seye view) with white voile drapes and topped off with an Edison bulb cartwheel chandelier in the centre.

We added this shimmering backdrop of fairy lights to the rear doors behind the top table for a wintery wedding at Ufton Court, alongside a multi-swag fairy light canopy and LED uplighters.

What an amazing hidden gem Longbourn Barn is, tucked away in the Warwickshire countryside with breathtaking views over the surrounding landscape. We were delighted to be invited back for another wedding in this superb location.

After talking through various options, the couple chose four of our gorgeous tiered crystal chandeliers, each one framed by a soft white fabric drape. Wireless LED uplighters and a large white backdrop on the stage finished off the look, all coming together to transform an already beautiful venue while working with its stunning existing features.

Here's a small collection of photos showing a really effective, complete lighting scheme at Cogges Manor Farm including ... deep breath ... fairy lights, drapes, Edison bulbs, festoon lights, uplighting, mirror ball, disco lights and bunting. Phew!

The Monks Barn in Hurley is such brilliant blank canvas for lighting and decoration that there are lots of different combinations available to suit any taste.

This full lighting scheme included drapes, fairy lights, chandeliers and LED uplighters for a really gorgeous result.

This was a lovely lighting scheme for a really lovely couple holding their wedding reception at the Monks' Barn in Hurley, Berkshire.

We installed fairy lights, chandelier, paper lanterns, uplighting, outdoor lighting and a full length curtain over the barn doors. The transformation was amazing!

Wow! This was our first time installing lighting for a wedding in the barn at Stonehill House near Abingdon. What a lovely barn!

These sumptuous white voile drapes were installed in the Monks Refectory for a stylish wedding at Notley Abbey.

A village hall can be a wonderful space for a wedding reception, but they often benefit from a few extra touches to liven them up and to disguise some of the less visually appealing features.

Buckland village hall is set in the beautiful village of Faringdon in Oxfordshire. In this case our brief was to hide the rather functional-looking fluorescent light fittings on the beams while adding some flattering light to the room with fairy lights.
